Cookies Policy

Last Updated: May 8, 2026

This Cookies Policy explains how the SwiftQuantum websites (swiftquantum.tech, quantumnative-edu.swiftquantum.tech, and legal.swiftquantum.tech) use cookies and similar local-storage technologies. Native iOS / macOS / visionOS apps in the SwiftQuantum ecosystem do not use web cookies; they use platform keychain and on-device storage governed by the Privacy Policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits. "Similar technologies" include localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB.

Our cookie posture

Our default posture is conservative: we use only what is necessary for site function and language preference. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not enable analytics cookies by default.

Categories we use

1. Strictly Necessary (always on)

These cannot be disabled because the site cannot function without them.

Cookie / Key Purpose Lifetime
sq_token Authentication session for logged-in users Session or up to 14 days if "remember me"
sq-language Your language preference (en, ko, ja, zh, de, fr, es) 1 year
sq-consent Records your cookie-preference selection 6 months

2. Functional (opt-in)

Off by default. You can enable these in the cookie banner if you wish.

Cookie / Key Purpose Lifetime
sq-theme Light / dark mode override 1 year
sq-region Display preferences for your jurisdiction 1 year

3. Analytics (opt-in)

Off by default. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization and Vercel Analytics only if you opt in via the consent banner.

Provider Purpose If you opt in
Google Analytics 4 Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics _ga, _gid cookies set with IP anonymization
Vercel Analytics Page-view aggregation first-party, no cross-site identifiers

We do not use:

Managing your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time:

  1. Click the "Cookie Preferences" link in the page footer.
  2. Toggle Functional or Analytics categories on / off.
  3. Save — the page reloads with your selection.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.

"Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by browsers that support it: when GPC is detected, analytics cookies are not set even if you previously opted in. We treat the legacy "Do Not Track" header as advisory and apply the same effect.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when we add, remove, or change a cookie. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
